A Single-Hydrophone Coherent-Processing Method for Line-Spectrum Enhancement

Improving the line-spectrum detection capability of a single hydrophone is great significance for passive small underwater platforms. In this paper, we propose single-hydrophone cross-power spectrum (SHCS) method based on time-domain coherence. This uses coherence line and non-coherence continuous noise to obtain coherent gain improve signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) spectrum. The effects input SNR, number averaging operations, overlap performance SHCS under background Gaussian white are simulated analyzed. results show that when 0 operations reaches saturation, can achieve best about 15 dB obtained. was verified by sea experiments.
